Real life Ryukyu Shorin-ryu Karate champion turned action movie actress Rina Takeda follows up her debut High Kick Girl! with Karate Girl (or K.G. ), offering fans more of the same as she kicks, punches and chops her way through swathes of bad guys while wearing a cute high school uniform. Despite its similar title, the film bears no relation to its predecessor, though it does see original scribe Kimura Yoshikatsu taking the director’s chair, with co-scripter, producer and choreographer Nishi Fuyuhiko also returning. Boasting the same brand of old school, no wires, no CGI high impact martial arts, the film attempts to go one better by teaming Takeda with another young female karate expert in the 14 year old Tobimatsu Hina.

Daniel and his mother move from New Jersey to California. She has a wonderful new job, but Daniel quickly discovers that a dark haired Italian boy with a Jersey accent doesn t fit into the blond surfer crowd. Daniel manages to talk his way out of some fights, but he is finally cornered by several who belong to the same karate school. As Daniel is passing out from the beating he sees Miyagi, the elderly gardener leaps into the fray and save him by outfighting half a dozen teenagers. Volume 3 covers the applications of Kushanku / Kanku-Dai. The kata is a record of the highly effective striking and grappling methods taught by the Chinese martial artist Kushanku. It is said that the kata was constructed by the legendary Tode Sakagawa, who became a student of Kushanku’s when he came to Okinawa in 1756. This kata is also known as Kosokun (alternative pronunciation) and Kanku-Dai (Japanese name for the form). This DVD provides instruction on the no-nonsense fighting techniques hidden within the kata.

Rina Takeda and Haruna [sic] Tobimatsu co-star as sisters Ayaka and Natsuki Kurenai, the youngest descendants of a legendary Okinawan karate master named Shoujirou Kurenai. As children, they live a happy life with their father (Tatsuya Naka) who encourages them both to practice karate. However, one day a mysterious group breaks into their dojo - killing their father, kidnapping Natsuki, and stealing the black belt which has been passed down in their family for over 200 years. Several years later, Ayaka is living the humble life of an ordinary high school student in Yokohama.
