The series was first broadcast by the Public Broadcasting Service in 1980, and was the most widely watched series in the history of American public television until 1990 s The Civil War. It is still the most widely watched PBS series in the world.[1] It won an Emmy and a Peabody Award and has since been broadcast in more than 60 countries and seen by over 600 million people, according to the Science Channel. A book to accompany the series was also published.

At the New York City High School for the Performing Arts, students get specialized training that often leads to success as actors, singers, etc. This movie follows four students from the time when they audition to get into the school, through graduation. Biography of the American physicist who led the U.S. effort to develop the atomic bomb during World War II, only to find himself suspected as a security risk in the 1950s because of his increasing ambivalence about the effect of his life s work.This excellent seven hour miniseries produced by the BBC delves into the complex character of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the U.S. physicist who led the development of the atomic bomb. Featuring the American actor Sam Waterston as Oppenheimer, it opens in Berkeley, California, in the late 1930s and concludes with the 1954 U.S. Atomic Energy Commission s hearing which denied Oppenheimer his security clearance. The well-researched film provides many details of Oppenheimer s personal and professional relationships before, during, and after World War II as well as his leadership of the Manhattan Project and opposition to the development of the hydrogen bomb in the years following the war. Peter Goodchild, the film s producer, has also written a biography of Oppenheimer.

He decides to retire from fighting, but when the Mafia come along and arrange another fight, he is pushed into it. A motorcycle gang and an orangutan called Clyde all add to the fun .
