Native Instruments has announced an upcoming expansion to its Traktor DJ software, Traktor Pro. Pro utilizes an updated interface with four decks, specifically improved for live performers; the layout is said to be high contrast and scalable, with cue and looping controls altered to be easier to use on the fly. Native has likewise added the Crate Flick feature, which lets DJs browse music files as if they were in a typical record crate. Supporting the interface changes is a new performance effects section, divided into two multi effect units with a combined total of over 20 effect types such as Iceverb and Reverse Grain. Arc Angels are a blues rock band formed in Austin, Texas in the early 1990s. The band was composed of guitarist and singers Doyle Bramhall II and Charlie Sexton and two former members of Stevie Ray Vaughan's band Double Trouble, drummer Chris Layton and bassist Tommy Shannon. According to Bob Meredith of Allmusic the "ARC" in the band's name came from the Austin Rehearsal Complex where the band first started jamming before releasing their 1992 debut album. The album, Arc Angels, met with critical approval and managed to hit #127 on the Billboard charts. On Tuesday, June 9, 1992, the Arc Angels made their network television debut on the NBC show "Late Night with David Letterman" where they performed "Living In A Dream". On Wednesday, January 6, 1993, they again performed on Letterman's show; this time playing "Too Many Ways to Fall".

Live at the Monterey Festival is a live album by the San Francisco rock band, Jefferson Airplane, that was released in the United Kingdom and Europe by Thunderbolt Records in 1991. The album was authorized by the band and features the entire set from the group's June 17, 1967 performance at the Monterey Pop Festival. The album marked the first time that Jefferson Airplane's entire Monterey Pop Festival performance had been given a release by a legitimate record company.

Ancient Grease is a clever moniker for a band, although Strawberry Dust were rather baffled to find themselves so named on their 1970 debut album, Women and Children First. Dust's reputation as a rousing live act was already cemented by several years of plying cover songs around the South Wales club circuit, which is where drummer John Weathers came across them. Impressed, he oversaw their demo, which landed Dust a deal at Mercury, then co-wrote, arranged, and co-produced their full-length. And thus begins the Racing Cars story, for Dust/Grease featured both the band's future frontman, Gareth "Morty" Mortimer, and guitarist, Graham Williams. However, this album is very much a child of its time, only hinting at what's to come. It's a heady mixture of pub rock, hard-rocking R&B, blues, psychedelia, and San Francisco prog rock, with nods to the British hard rock scene along the way, Dust/Grease hit just about every musical touchstone of their day.
